WeatherBug For The iPad And iPhone Update

There should be an image here!Recently there was an article in the Washington Post that explained what iPad users can expect from their applications on the up and coming tablet platform. Among those interviewed was Chris Sloop, of WeatherBug. Chris explained that WeatherBug will have an app for the iPad. This will means iPad users will have instant access to their latest weather from the best mobile weather application available.

Back on the iPhone front…

WeatherBug has already released an update to their iPhone apps. The update was provided to address a few minor bugs and improve overall speed as well. The most noticeable change is the speed increase. Loading the app is faster to be sure, but switching from the home screen to other features like forecast or maps, is near instant. The speed increase to be seen here is tremendous!

Now while features were not the focus on this update, there was one cool item worth noting that was added. Go to the WeatherBug home page, then shake your phone. Boom, it just updated the weather! Same thing works on other areas of the WeatherBug app with instant updates.

Back on the iPad front…

Coming back full circle, keep an eye out for the WeatherBug iPad app as the tablet is released. While I am not going to get into any real specifics yet, I can tell you that WeatherBug will have a working presence on the iPad. So as it is released at Apple’s launch, keep an eye out for WeatherBug!
